Patterns

October 2, 2004 -- 3 DC Cluster Pattern.

I love patterns that work up fast and brainlessly once the foundation is set up. Hence I'm a big fan of any type of shell/cluster thing. That way I can watch a movie and not look at what my hands are doing. This one was a pastel multicolor baby sport yarn that I made into a large square blanket meant to be used on the floor as a play mat.

In the detail you can see the rainbow colors better:

Pattern:

Chain a multiple of three

Row 1:

3 dc in 4th ch from hook (3sipped chs count as a dc and a ch-1 sp)

*sk next 2 chs, 3 DC in next ch*

Repeat from * to last 2 chains.  Skip next ch, DC in last ch, Chain 2, Turn.

Row 2:

2 DC b'ween first DC and next 3-DC group

*3 DC in between each DC Group*

Repeat from * ending 1 DC under turning chain.   Chain 2, Turn

Repeat Row 2

I also repeated the clusters around the edges for an afghan border.
