17, 2004 -- Did
a little knitting and when I got sick of that I started playing around with scrap
yarn again and taught myself the double crochet foundation. It's different than
just a chain foundation because it's stretchy and sproingy. I got it out of a
crochet sock book. I'm not ready to try crochet socks but I figured I'd practice
the start. Double
Crochet Foundation: 1.
Chain 3. 2.
YO, insert hook in 3rd ch from hook. 3.
YO, pull yarn through 1 loop on hook. 4.
YO, pull yarn through 2 loops on hook. 5.
YO, pull yarn through last 2 loops on hook. 6.
YO, insert hook through front loop and back hump of the chain. Repeat from Step
2 on down until desired length. | |
