October 31, 2004 -- Vintage Baby Dress

Been busy fixing files and making samples for the mini tutorial I am writing. It started from me trying to explain a slip knot to someone online rather than in real life and it grew from there.

I've also been working on a vintage baby dress. The overall look of the dress is like this:

It's from Step-By-Step to Better Knitting and Crochet put out in 1981. Paul got it for me at a thrift store once.

I'm doing my version in Red Heart Baby Sport in pastel rainbow variegated. I got the back yoke done. It works across from cuff to cuff:

I like how the ribs are coming out. The first row is sc in the back loops only. The second row is hdc through the front loops. Then you just alternate the rows. The eyelet texture for the skirt is going to be fun -- I'm looking forward to doing that part!
