Simple Ribbed Scarf

Finished Size: approx. 12" x 60"

Materials:

• Any yarn of your choice (ex: 2 skeins Lion Brand Homespun)
• hook appropriate size for that yarn (ex: K hook)
• scissors
• tape measure
• safety pins

Directions:

Chain a length about 60 inches long.

Row 1:

Sc in 2nd loop from hook and all the way across.

Row 2:

Ch 1. Turn work. Sc in 2nd loop from hook. Continue to sc in back loops only all the way across.

Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 12 inches tall. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Tip:

If you have trouble keeping your edges even, use a safety pin as a stitch marker. After making the first loop in a row, slip the safety pin in the first loop AFTER the loop hanging on the hook. The next time you come to the safety pin, you will know that is the last stitch on that row.
