Options
Effects provide alternate ways to display an image other than simply painting it on the screen.
- Enable Image Effects
- This globally enables/disables image effects regardless of other effect settings.
- Effect Probability
- Governs the odds that an effect will be used to display an image. When the slider is all the way to the left, effects are always used. When it is all the way to the right, effects are rarely used (1 out of every 100 images).
- Available Effects
- This list allows individual effects to be enabled/disabled.
The Effects
- Iris In
- An expanding circular iris paints the image.
- Pan Image
- Based on the original images aspect ratio, a square portion of the image is displayed with an animated pan. For images whose widths are greater than their heights, a horizontal pan is used. For images whose heights are greater than their widths, a vertical pan is used.
- Random Dots
- The image is painted pixel by pixel using randomly located dots until the entire image is filled in.
- Random Lines
- The image is painted by using random vertical or horizontal lines until the entire image is filled in.
- Random Squares
- The image is broken up into squares which are then painted on the screen in a random order.
- Squares
- The image is broken up into squares when are then painted on the screen in an alternating order.
- Stripes
- The odd number lines are painted, followed by the even number lines.
- Wipe In
- The image is painted starting with the outside edges, advancing towards the center.
- Wipe Out
- The image is painted starting from the center then expanding outwards.
- Zoom In
- The image is first painted and then zoomed in towards the center.
- Zoom Out
- The center of the image is first painted and then zooms out to the full image.
