Ay carumba.. what a weekend.

For my half of the walk date, I had to go to the gym - it was raining way, way too hard for me to be outside. I got on a treadmill and did a lot of grouching myself in my head:

"When am I going to find the groove?"
"Okay, groove.. I'm waiting!"
"Ugh, what is this thing going on in my ankle?"
"I think I better stop now, before I actually do damage.."

For that session, I only managed 2.11 miles in 43 minutes. I was feeling this tightness going on in my foot and it really freaked me out. I didn't want to be hurting myself! I did this weekend's six miles on Sunday, and for the first five and a half me and my foot felt great. The last half mile was a real bugger, though - my foot started to hurt again. Today, though, the pain is gone and I feel great about having finished a six-mile walk in one sitting.

This brings my total 2000 mileage to 141.11 - and I should go over 150 this week. Wow! Wow!

Getting ready for bed and making sure I have clean fitness clothes. Some chocie though tomorrow -- gym or... gym. If it were clear I could do 6 laps of parking lots or 1.5 repeats out to the other entrance of the complex to snag my 3.75 miles. But there was a bad brush fire tonight and the entire outside is all smoke-y and it's been leakgin into my house. Yuck! Just aggravatting my allergies. It's going to take a while to clear, so I'm better off going to gym tomorrow than trying to run about in the haze. Pooh! :P

Disney, no clue on miles walked

Cross-train
Biking for 6 miles

Friday I worked on my fundraising stuff and rested. Saturday we went to Disney to take more photos of the race course parts I didn't take photos of the last time we were on photo safari. Then we went to both animal Kingdom and Epcot. Walked a lot, but I forgot my pedometer in the car so I have no idea how long it was in terms of miles. Today (Sunday) we biked for 6 miles around the neighborhood and measured the parking lots I wanted to measure for possible walking. Those are 0.65 miles around. Overall, nice weekend, feeling pretty upbeat.

I did learn some things though about my clothes from the all-day trip to Disney. I wore my hair in a ponytail, a long sleeve cotton T-shirt, my Athena sports bra, wicking spandex shorts, Thorlos socks and my New Balance shoes. The cotton shirt was good because it was cool, but it was not something I planned to wear race day. Gets too soggy and takes to long to dry. The rest of it was fine, except I def. need to rub Vaseline in all my body creases to prevent chafing. Not wearing panties helps because then there is no hem rubbing my groin, but crotch chafe is still going to be an issue.
