9: First Quarter Nine
weeks into this project, and we've completed 25% of our training and raised $625
towards out goal of $5000! We've each overcome many challenges and shown progress
in many ways. A brief inventory of some of the places we've been over the last

- experimented with different ways
of monitoring her food intake from food logging to weight watchers and lost ten
lbs
- set up our training
blog and worked on other training website pages
- broken
her previous records of five weeks on an exercise regimen by almost doubling the
length of time
- outlasted
many of her walking partners and started to jog, even hitting up to 4.1 MPH in
her interval training
- got
new sneakers, socks, clothing and other fitness gear like a hydrapak to take on
longer sessions to stay well hydrated
- joined
a gym for bad weather days that don't allow outdoor workouts
- solved
allergy, hamstring aches and leg cramping problems
- improved
distance from under 2 miles in 54 min to more than 3 miles
- Exchanged
links with others to her fundraising areas
- Finished
her first 5K in 57:18, meeting her goal of finishing in under an hour
- improved
from a 20-min mile pace to an 18 min, 18 sec mile
