Knee sprain is better, but tender. Flu over the weekend is dwindling down
to a cough. Did light arm weights today -- very slow. Interesting bit: Make
sure to stretch calves between each set. Only one major artery feeds each of the
calf muscles. Thus, blood flow tends to be reduced to this area during training.
This causes metabolic waste such as lactic acid to accrue rapidly and increases
potential for muscular cramping. Stretching will hlep flush waste from the calves
and decrease cramping.
Suspected something like that, but it's nice
to know for sure why I get calf cramps for the first 20 min of a workout if I
start out hard!
Found this cool
poster. I want one!
