Not a good day for trail walking, as Grace
and I discovered. It started to RAIN!!!! We scampered back to the car, and disappointed
we didn't get to walk much through the arboretum and gardens, we decided to at
least get what we could in before we had to split up and get back to our schedules
for today. So on to Bally's for a while. Better speed there, but not as nice scenary. The
plus side is that the remodelling will be done at the end of the month and they'll
have spinning classes! Booyah! Can I coax Paul into those? Tried a Spiru-Tein
Chocolate drink box thingie today since Karen's after me to keep my protein up
during training. (Like 70-90g). It's not bad, but neither am I wild about it.

April 4, 2001 First donation summary for 2001 came in
today. $100 - one tenth of my minimum! And forty fundraising letters, asking for
donations instead of birthday presents, went out today too. So hopefully today's
good fundraising juju will stick around awhile! No gym today - but that's okay.
I hung out with friends and ate pizza and played a game I ended up winning, and
that was good too. The stress is starting to fade, and that is VERY important

a GOOD time to be at gym other than the traffic getting there. Gym is empty. Kiddies
getting out from school on streets.

want to go any faster

Not a good day to breathe,
and it's affected my workout. :P We have a brush fire (so lots of smoke in the
air) and the landscpaping people are here (lots of grass and pollen in the air).
I opened my front door and almost slammed it shut again. Seriously tempted to
just hide inside. But I went to gym, did what I could stand and came home to squirt
nose spray up my nose and take my Claritin. I have a headache. Blah. The only
bright spot was that Tattoo Girl was there and I got to check her out and revive

But it's a new month, my birthday month, and it's time for me to get a new start.

be at gym. People getting off work. Ugh.
- Speed: I got up to 4.0 on the jog
spurts but 3.0 on the walk parts, so an average of 3.2 MPH

I have one thing to say: Thank goodness I don't have to do treadmill
again til Thursday! The pounding on the softball field parking lot was killing
my knees jogging, so I've moved those workouts to treadmill. It feels better,
but I still hate the jostling. I've run at 5.0 before, but I get tired too fast.
So this time I stuck to 4.0 and managed to do almost 0.25 miles each time I jogged
before I had to walk. So it was walk-jog-walk-jog-walk today. Weights later tonight
after dinner. Drank a liter while at gym. I like the SportBrain though. Regardless
of what machine I'm on now I'll be getting the readings from it. Consistancy helps!

Took a walk with Paul tonight around the neighborhood. Low 60's/high 50's -- very
pleasant. Night walking isn't something I want to do alone, but together it's
safer, and it was fun. Covered 2.9 miles @ 3.5 MPH. posted
