This week in review: Four wogs.
The one from last Sunday (reported below), Wednesday morning, Thursday night,
and tonight. All two-milers. Total step count over four wogs 20,436. Calories
burned 1635.4.
Condition: improving. At the start of the week, the finishing
sprint up the hill caused a lot of burn in my lungs. Tonight's finishing sprint
caused only a little tightness, no burn. After this week I feel pretty good about
my training in general.
Tomorrow's a long wog. Means tonight I have to figure
out which training schedule to use, so I can do the right number of miles. Sigh.

Crikey, how long has it been.. too darn long, for sure. Anyhow - this
morning I went out at 9 AM to give mi amiga Beth some extra good running juju
- she's doing Lakefront(?) Marathon this morning, and I wanted to "be there" for
the start. I wanted to get to at least three, but tightness issues kept me to
two miles.
I think that I need to do a Conditioning Week this week - an intensive
program consisting of an easy 2-miler every day, and my Beginner's Yoga program
every other day. Then at the end of the week, I can see where I am on the long
wog.
On the four jogging sections I DID do this morning, I had to consciously
keep my speed down. I knew that if I just let myself go, I'd run out of jogging
energy much sooner than I did. I hope I'm doing the right thing in that - I wish
I could count a gym instructor amongst my friends, so I could ask them.
