Five: Reorganization
Changing plans
and goals calls for a little reorganization. Adrith decides that this is the year
she'd like to complete the full 26.2 miles, and Cat finds out that she'll have
another training partner come October..
"Been talking to Adrith
about the game plan for this year's training. We've got different goals, and later
in the year a new training partner -- Paul. We laso have to raise a little more
for minimums this year than we did last year. Adrith's goal is to complete the
full marathon event by walk/jog combo. My goal is to run the half. Paul's goal
is to run the half but he runs faster. " ~Cat
Adrith reaches
her first milestone in wogging segments - 2 minutes jogging, 2 minutes walking.
She thinks about increasing that jogging time:
"Just thinking
about it is causing a small freakout. Can't have that! If nothing else, I've got
to remember that plenty of people run whole marathons at 2/2 - and if that's the
best I ever work up to, it won't be the end of the world. I do, however, want
to get better - I want to run that whole 5k." ~Adrith
Changes
can be stressful, but hopefully we'll weather these just fine.
