Week Seventeen: Still Rocky

Cat gets new shoes and starts worrying about impending summer heat and how to cope with it.

"Coaxed Paul into a night walk and it was nice and mild out. I jogged for a bit to see how the Asics feel jogging and they felt pretty spiffy. I covered 1/10 of a mile in that one minute sprint, so I was amused. If I could keep that pace I really would be jogging 10 min. miles and NOT on the elliptical. This weekend I might try my long session on pavement if I can get Paul to go out at night. Too bloody hot in the day time. I don't think I can keep that pace up, but I want to know if I've closed the gap any." ~Cat

Adrith tries out her usual routine and decides she still needs to consult with her doctor.

"Well, since I've been gone I've had one bad allergy attack, one new allergy prescription that's worked ok and a lot of worries about exercise-induced asthma. I had asthma as a child, and it's always been at the back of my mind whether or not I've still got problems related to that. After a week of strained breathing, I really wonder. But I was back out tonight.. did about a half of a 5k with some light jogging sprints. It felt.. weird. We'll see how it feels next time I go out; if my breathing feels strained, it's definitely time to call the doc back. It's good to be wogging again, though." ~Adrith

It still feels like trying to juggle too many things at once!
