  • What: Stroller wark in the park w/ my parents and Paul
  • Distance: 1+ miles

Easy stroller walk in the park en famille. It was nice and windy out and we got to visit/chat. I may or may not walk again tonight if Julia gives me a chance.

I got my endoc. results from my last check up in the mail and Dr. H. had written "great!" on the bottom. I have trouble understanding these reports other than checking to see if my values are in or out of the reference range. I'll get the details at my next check but "great" is great so hooray.

My triglycerides are high at 157. (reference range is 35-135) so I need to work on that.
My free T4 on the thyroid front is 2.07 (reference range is 0.8 - 2.0) so that's not so far out. TSH was 0.17 (range is 0.3 - 5.0) Those were my only ones out of refrence range.

Total cholesterol is 177 (0-200 is the reference range) and my HDL is 46 (range is 35-135). LDL was 100, desirable is less than 100 so I'm squeaking there.

I'm especially proud of the A1C for blood sugar/insulin resistance/gest. diabetes business. "Excellent control" is less than 6.8 and normal range is 3.5-6.2. I'm at 5.3! Booyah! Admittedly this is the one I care about the most. So I was happy to see that.

  • What: Lower Body Weights/Abs
  • Duration: 60 min

Like before, knowcked everything down 20 lbs. While that was ok for arms, on legs it may be a bit too light. Took the abs esp. easy since I'm a bit nervous about the C-sect thing. Tired, so off to sleep.

  • What: Upper Body Weights
  • Duration: 45 min

Did weights today for the first time a long time. I decided to go with a 20 lbs decrease on everything and it worked out ok. I'll probably do the same for lower body weights later this week. It was a relaxing workout although I could tell it has def. been a while and I'll have to build back up. Off to bed.

  • What: Treadmill walk
  • Duration and Speeds: 30 min total (5 min 3.0 mph, 20 min 3.5 mph, 5 min 3.0 mph)
  • Distance: 1.66 miles
  • Ave. Heart Rate: --

Slight problems with my walk today. It wasn't so much that I went up to 3.5 mph. While more brisk, it is still a walk I can handle.

The problem was twitchy leg and super engorged breasts. Even though I nursed before walking, one side was still quite heavy and the pink Bravado bra wasn't enough support if I was going to be walking more quickly.

I was so distracted with my bra and leg that I forgot to right down heart rate and miles but while I can figure miles from the speed and times I can't do anything about the heart rate.
