Getting ready to weather out Hurricane Jeanne. I'm hoping we don't lose power again but we'll have to wait and see. Normal life temporarily suspended...
... but I squeezed in my walk after Paul took Julia. Not esp. relaxing since in the back of my mind I'm fretting over the weather but it's miraculous I got it in today.

Walk was good.
I was tired though and I swapped today and tomorrow. Rather than doing 3 miles today I did the 2 miles for tomorrow. I didn't get to sleep until 3 AM because Julia was pulling a stunt. Then I got up at 6 AM to potty/nurse and couldn't go back to sleep.
I was pretty grumpy over it until I decided to make the best of it and just get my walk done rather than trying to figure out when to manage it today. There's much to be said for the exercise buzz. I feel a lot better after my walk. Still dog tired and looking forward to a nap ASAP but better.

My walk today had to be in two parts. Julia was awake and only tolerated watching me walk for 1.5 miles so then I had to tend to her and my parents dropped by unexpectedly. It was NOT a great walk for my peace of mind. But the second half was very good -- relaxing and I could zone out. Parents had left, baby was napping, I got some peace.
My endoc. labs came back today in the mail and I was right. My meds have been changed. I KNEW I was feeling off! My cholesterol came back too high (poo!) but everythign else was ok.
While annoyed, I'm not terribly surprised on the cholesterol front. It's a combo of eating out too much and not keeping up with my food log as well as I should. I'd already planned to buckle down on that now that my holiday season started so now I just have to do it and pay extra care to cholesterol.
I want to get it back down before I retest in 2 mos.

Was a bit worried about doing my walk today. This morning I took a spill in the hallway when I tripped on some shoes (my own, doh!) and I twisted my wrist and ankle along with clonking my knee. Seems I also got my fanny on the hard terrazzo but I was so worried about my problem ankle I didn’t realize it til later. Fortunately after some rest it was all fine – no actual spraining.
Got Julia down after some minor fussing for an evening nap and cranked out my 2 miles. Paul got home in the middle of my walk so I really couldn’t talk to him much. We’re going to eat out for dinner and zip by walmart to get some last minute things for his business trip. Travel size toiletries. Socks. You know. So we’ll talk then.
I really had a good walk – I zoned out completely and I feel refreshed.

Got 2 miles done this morning. There's a small stitch in the left sneaker that is chafing me. I may end up changing the 880 along with the other pair and request 2 other 880's that hopefully won't have chafing bits bothering me. How annoying. The actual walk was mostly ok, but I still feel wonky.
