I am having a good day. Mike has hit his weight goal! Now he wants to increase his calorie intake (with nutritious calories, not dessert) and so he bought some pre-cooked fish fillets. I may not have mentioned that, although I am a vegetarian (no food with a face, eggs and milk ok), Mike isn't. Up until now, he has kept his carniverous habits outside the house and has eaten pure veg with me inside the house (save the occasional take-out). The fact that he doesn't know how to cook and I have convinced him that having raw meat in our fridge mingling with our vegetables would be a bad idea have helped. I don't really mind these fish fillets, though, they are pre-cooked and frozen so at most he will be warming them up (and doing all the dishes after he makes them!) The fish fillets are 100 calories each, almost all protein. I wish they had something like them that was vegetarian.
I am packing up tonight and will leave fairly early in the AM. I am taking my notebook and will journal my every bite, but who knows if I will be able to keep control over the points, I am hoping. The last time I went to visit my sister, I was really committed to eating within points, then fell flat on my face. I don't want to do the same this time.
I ordered two exercise videos today, one for stretching and one for toning. Both have short/long options. When I get back, or maybe while I am gone, I will fill out my exercise calendar for the next 3 months. Oh, how I can't wait to start marking those days through! Spring and the thought of the Disney half have really gotten me excited about exercise again.
